Tedford Insurance, founded in 1978 by George and Kay Tedford with a goal: To offer sound insurance coverage to the hard-working people of our community. Our staff of two in 1977 has grown to 56 hard working associates in six offices -- Jenks, Claremore, Muskogee, Drumright, Nowata, and Chandler. Our office is now a highly automated center that helps us stay current with an always changing industry. Tedford Insurance was founded in 1977 by George Tedford in Tulsa. George's desire of being in direct contact with the customers he served, motivated him to move the agency to Main Street in Jenks in 1990. In 1991, George's oldest son Mike Tedford joined the agency. Mike was followed by his brother Mark in 1992 and finally by his youngest brother Chris in 1997 making it a true hometown, family run business.

Since the founding of Tedford Insurance, the company has grown to six offices, including its home office in Jenks and continuing with an acquisition of a Drumright agency in the late 1980's; followed by the additions of a Muskogee agency in 1993 and a Claremore agency in 1995. Finally in 2000 Tedford Insurance acquired additional agencies in Nowata and Chandler. Having a presence in these smaller towns allows us the ability to better serve our customers in Green Country.

Tedford Insurance continues to be heavily involved in the communities they serve by sponsoring high school athletics, community events, serving as members of the Chambers of Commerce, Kiwanis Clubs and Rotary Clubs. Through the agency's wide variety of insurance and financial services available to its customers and its continued community involvement, the Tedford brothers are carrying on George's motto of "Home Town Service, World Class Results".
