The George Tedford Memorial Scholarship Fund is a program designed to award a $1,500 scholarship to a talented, highly motivated Jenks High School Senior Student-Athlete who has demonstrated leadership potential and desires to pursue a career in business and a full-time undergraduate degree. Consistent with the example that George Tedford set, this scholarship is reserved for a student-athlete who excels both in the classroom and on the field and desires to be a business leader in his or her community. This scholarship was established in 2005 through the generosity of the Jenks Chamber of Commerce and the Tedford Family.
I am pleased to announce that the winner of this year’s George E. Tedford Memorial Scholarship is Jack Jansen.
Jack is the son of Mike and Michelle Jansen. He is a Distinguished Graduate of Jenks High School with a 4.16 GPA. Jack was awarded the “Tulsa World All State Honorable Mention” for Track & Field, was a Conference and Regional Qualifier for Pole Vault and High Jump and was named “Rookie of the Year” and “Most Improved” in Ultimate Frisbee. Jack is honored to represent JHS as a member of the National Honor Society, National AP Scholar, and a National Spanish Honor Society member. He serves as Ambassador for Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is actively involved in Drug-Free Youth, The Tulsa Boys Home and his youth group at The Kirk.
On behalf of myself, and Tedford Insurance, we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
