The George Tedford Memorial Scholarship Fund is a program designed to award a $1,500 scholarship to a talented, highly motivated Jenks High School Senior Student-Athlete who has demonstrated leadership potential and desires to pursue a career in business and a full-time undergraduate degree. Consistent with the example that George Tedford set, this scholarship is reserved for a student-athlete who excels both in the classroom and on the field and desires to be a business leader in his or her community. This scholarship was established in 2005 through the generosity of the Jenks Chamber of Commerce and the Tedford Family.
This year’s George Tedford Memorial Scholarship winner is Beauchamp Jansen. Beau is the son of Mike and Michelle Jansen. He is a Distinguished Graduate of Jenks High School with a 4.0 GPA. Beau has spent his 4 years at Jenks High School playing basketball (2 years on varsity), was awarded the “Outstanding Sophomore and Outstanding Junior Award” for Track & Field, was a State Qualifier for Pole Vault and was named MVP and Defensive Player of the Year in Ultimate Frisbee. Beau is honored to represent JHS as a National Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society member.
