Back for its 37th running, the Jenks Half will start at 8 am on Saturday November 5 at the Jenks Track. We’re using the same course as last year, starting just north of the track and baseball field and finishing with three quarters of a lap around the track. In between the course will take you past Jones Airport on 91st Street, across I-75 west to 33rd West Avenue, then north to 81st, back east to Union, south to 91st and then around the behind the airport on 81st for that long stretch home. The course is not closed to vehicular traffic. Intersections are controlled, but there will be vehicles on the course. Runners need to be aware of the traffic and use good judgment. Headphones are strongly discouraged. You must be able to hear race personnel, police and cars around you. The Finish Line will be open for 3 hours from the start of the Half. We will also have a 5K running while the Half Marathoners are taking their tour of the Jenks countryside. The 5K will start at 8:15 am and will also finish on the track. Cost for the Half is $40 through October 2, $45 October 3 through October 30, and $50 October 31 through Race Day. The 5K is $20 through October 30 and $25 October 31 through Race Day.
