SPEAKER PHILLIP BEATTY

Phillip’s first five professional careers contributed to his work today as a Performance Business consultant. After earning a Geophysical Engineer degree and a Commission in the US Army Corps of Engineers at Colorado School of Mines, he completed his Army career as a company commander in Construction Engineer Battalion deployed to Vietnam. He worked as a Geophysicist for Shell Oil Company and learned how to find oil and gas. He cut his teeth as an entrepreneur by putting together an oil and gas exploration partnership and found over two million barrels of oil in the Michigan Basin. He sold his interest in the company and earned a Masters in Economics thinking he would get back into the oil business, but in 1986 when the price of oil was $10/barrel he began a sales career in Life Insurance and inside sales in a steel manufacturing where he learned the basics of Continuous Quality Improvement. He then transitioned in to teaching Management and doing academic administration in adult education at the University level while earning a doctorate in education. At heart Phillip Beatty is an encourager and is energized by being a catalyst in the lives of others to help people and their businesses to reach their God given potential. |
